Mezzanine floors — features and benefits
A mezzanine floor is a cost effective alternative to relocating premises. Adding in extra levels allows you to expand upwards, increasing the amount of available floor space. It can be fitted out with shelving or racking to maximise storage space, with the option to add in partitioning and ceilings to provide additional office accommodation.
What’s a mezzanine floor made up of?
A mezzanine floor is a freestanding platform independent of existing structures. Our team in London will deal with the Building Regulations application and all design drawings and calculations will be prepared by us. As soon as we’ve got the go ahead, all steelwork is re-fabricated off-site for fast installation that won’t delay your operations.
Mezzanine floor specifications
Our mezzanine floors are manufactured to British Standards and comply with all relevant Building Regulations Typical structure design:

Cold rolled, galvanised secondary floor joists are bolted into the main universal beams which are in turn supported by rolled hollow section steel columns.
-
This structure is generally decked with a tough 38mm thick tongued and grooved particle board (or open steel grid flooring if more natural light is desired)
